A more innovative hospitality industry requires having worldly and cultured professionals who can cater to different traveler preferences.
The Bachelor of Arts major in Hospitality Management program aims to produce hospitality professionals who can provide warm, exciting and delightful experiences to travelers from various cultures. The program provides internationally-recognized training on restaurant, hotel & related operations, towards an international management career or business in hospitality & tourism.
CULTURE-BASED CURRICULUM
The HRM program uses a cultural and immersive approach in its curriculum. Through the curriculum, learners gain knowledge about various cultures and its peoples, as well as their unique beliefs and needs. Learners also learn about guests from various cultures’ travel and exploration preferences, as well as their hospitality needs.

Learners are given a chance to learn world-class standards of quality in the hospitality and tourism industry through its partnership with SDH in Singapore. Qualified learners may enrol in SDH wherein they can earn a Diploma in Hospitality Operations or an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management. This partnership is recognized by CHED and Singapore’s Ministry of Education.
Through this culture-based global academic program, learners are provided the opportunity to bring to life the hospitality and tourism industry in the Philippines and around the world.

STEVEN N. SASAM
Program Head
Steven N. Sasam is SWU PHINMA’s Program Head for its Hotel and Restaurant Management program. He has over 15 years of teaching and management experience in hospitality management. He also conducts training sessions and seminars on various aspects of the industry, as well as designs modules for HRM practitioners.

He holds a master’s degree in Management from the University of the Philippines – Cebu, and received his undergraduate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of San Jose Recoletos. During this period, he trained in various hotels in Cebu and in the Zoological Gardens, a top tourist destination in Singapore.
​
Mr. Sasam is also a formidable name in the event styling and management industries, with almost a decade’s worth of experience in planning and executing event designs for social and corporate events. His clients include Waterfront Hotel, the Department of Education, the Department of Trade and Industry and Nestle.
